Success!

This is the first time in many many years that I have waiting this long to start my Christmas shopping. I normally have started before Thanksgiving with a goal of finishing by Thanksgiving. This year, maybe because of our tumultuous times, I just couldn’t seem to get started. Well, yesterday, still nursing a killer cold, I ventured out after a night of sleet, ice, snow, and….lightening and thunder (very strange), to start on my non-existent shopping list. Armed with no list, my cell phone, and my credit card I arrived at my first store to discover…I pretty much had the place to myself. The sales were awesome, the selections were awesome, and the ratio of sales clerks to me were oh….probably 50 to 1.

What a strange experience. With a sigh of relief, I’ve finished my shopping. Now I just have to wrap the gifts and perhaps start working on decorating our home.
