Change is in the air
Right now, if you are subscribed to my mailing list, you are subscribed to all my hobby newsletters. I have finally figured out how to generate individual feeds for each hobby based on your preference. If you wish to continue receiving updates whenever I post whatever I post, there is no need to do anything. But if you are not interested in a particular hobby, there is a link at the bottom of this email to update your newsletter preferences. Uncheck “All Newsletters” and check the particular hobby or hobbies of interest to you.
What’s in the works?
Dining In: I’ve had my Instant Pots (yes I have more than one) for almost 2 years now. On my “to do” list is to start posting some of my successes. Love love love my instant pots. As…do my dogs…ha. More on that later.
Dear Jane: Yep, I’ve developed that passion, that obsession, that insanity. I am recreating the 1863 Jane Stickle quilt. Times Two. In addition, I am writing patterns for each individual block in the quilt to include cutting instructions, assembly, and templates. Because there are so many blocks in that quilt, I am setting it up as a category totally separate from quilting so I don’t drive my “sane” quilt followers crazy with my Dear Jane nonsense. I’m almost finished with the second row of the quilt. My plan is to publish the first two rows at the same time. After that, I’ll be posting each block pattern after I have tested them.
Crochet: A couple of years ago I started my website, Quilts to Crochet. I’m giving serious consideration to letting it go and incorporating those posts into my Hobby Stash site under Crochet. I just don’t have enough hours in the day to design and make afghans anymore. But I do want the tutorials I’ve done thus far to continue to be available for those interested. I’m trying to figure out a way to do that without generating unnecessary emails to you related to those older entries.
That’s about it from here. I hope this finds you with time to enjoy your hobbies. Snowed like crazy here yesterday….a perfect quilting day!
