Back in Business

I think I’ve finally eliminated the cron errors I was getting. I’m at a loss as to which plug-in or post started this ball rolling. After several reinstalls of 2.7, I believe I’ve eliminated whatever got corrupted. Finicky bugger. I’ve uninstalled three plug-ins that I think might have been creating the issue: IntenseDebate, cforms, and Ajaxed WordPress.  Not sure which (if any), but decided these plug-ins were not critical to my overall format.

cForms was redundant since comments are forwarded to me via email so that was eliminated. I still recommend it though for its formatting flexibility if you want a contact form on your blog.

IntenseDebate is designed for more contact activity….hence the name. Since 2.7 has a threaded comment structure, there’s really no need for more in my case.

Ajaxed Wordpress…I have mixed emotions about this one. It does have some pretty cool effects but the system resource consumption wasn’t worth it in my case.
