Finished 2nd Round and Starting 3rd
After a week of withdrawal, I finally got my Bernina back in fully working order. I must stress that I absolutely love my Bernina. But there are two things I dislike immensely. The first is the fact that threading the machine is fully automated. I slide the thread through a slot and push a button to thread the sewing arm and needle. Wonderful when it works. But when it doesn’t thread the arm, I’m dead in the water. Arrgh. The other thing I don’t like is that the bobbin case is not removable. So, when I get a thread tangled up in it that can’t be retrieved via tweezers and tongue biting, I am again dead in the water. Both of these items have occurred and required me to bring in the machine to be repaired. Frustrating.
I’m back in business now and finished the second round of the quilt.
Wher can I find the carpenter Star pattern that has the three row of piecing? I have made two lap quits but I want one bigger for my bed.
I’m in the process of rewriting the pattern to include quilt as you go instructions. You can find the latest version here:
