Quilts

Red, White & Black UFO…done!

Several years ago I wanted to make a red, white, and black disappearing nine-patch quilt. I cut oodles and oodles of 4½ squares toward that goal. Then I  made the mistake of setting them aside while I worked on other projects. So this year in an attempt to reduce the number of unfinished objects started but not finished, I tackled this one. Since I had no recipient goal in mine for it, I decided to practice doodling free motion feathers all over it. I had fun and it came out rather nice. Right now it’s covering my cold toes while I write this.

No clue what I was thinking when I cut all those squares years ago. I cut enough to do 2 quilts. So with the remaining blocks I made a basic nine patch quilt. I doodled paisley, swirls, and pebbles all over this one.

Another UFO done (times 2).
