Dear Jane

The Jane Stickle Quilt – Block M7

Block M7 is appliquéd.

PDF pattern: Jane Stickle - M7

Note: Unit A and Unit B in the pattern are for the sashing. I chose to make 5-inch blocks like the original rather than sash 4½-inch blocks. If you prefer to add your sashing when your blocks are all finished, just eliminate the A and B units from my pattern. The center sections will then be 4½ inches finished in size and you can add your sashing later.

  1. Thank you so much for providing these patterns!!!!!! I had looked every where to find a book and paper piecing is the easiest way to make these little blocks. Thanks again!

    1. You are so welcome. Yes, paper piecing is the easiest way for the vast majority of these blocks. Ironically, I absolutely hated paper piecing before I started this project. But it’s now second nature. I marvel that Jane designed and made all these blocks without today’s modern sewing machine and quilting software like Electric Quilt!
