I normally enjoy reading fantasy novels as a change of pace and downloaded this one from Audible based on its reviews and ratings. What a disappointment! There were numerous gods and subplots in this book with a bit of violence. Frankly, most of the gods were unlikeable as were the human characters. Shadow, the main character, meanders through this epic like a zombie with little emotion. Even his love for Laura was ho hum. My advice would be…don’t waste your time!
