The background uses the x axis background repeat and the container (middle section) uses the y axis. I feathered the sides of the sides of the middle section for a softer effect.

His tutorials cover Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator, GoLive, Bridge, Flash, and Fireworks…and they’re awesome. I’ve already used some of his techniques here and will embed those videos shortly. But I highly recommend you check out his You Tube channel and website!
