I thought it would be fun to design and assemble a sampler quilt while crocheting a matching afghan. I’ve chosen simple traditional blocks so that I wouldn’t be too challenged with designing the matching pattern for the crocheted afghan. I’m posting each square for this quilt and the matching afghan as it is completed. You can follow my Sampler Afghan in the Crochet section.
Sampler Quilt: Borders
I’ve added the final border to the quilt and hand basted using Sharon Schamber’s hand-basting technique. This baby is now relegated to my PIP (projects in progress) pile until I finish the matching afghan. I’ll be machine quilting but have not yet decided on the patterns…am leaning towards individual block patterns since this is a sampler…
