I thought it would be fun to design and assemble a sampler quilt while crocheting a matching afghan. I’ve chosen simple traditional blocks so that I wouldn’t be too challenged with designing the matching pattern for the crocheted afghan. Finally! I’ve finished hand quilting my sampler quilt. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve set it aside but I do know it’s been a couple of years since I started it.

Blue Bayou Quilt: Borders
I’ve added the final border to the quilt and hand basted using Sharon Schamber’s hand-basting technique. This baby is now relegated to my PIP (projects in progress) pile until I finish the matching afghan.
